MONTANA SILVERSMITHS INKS WRWC PARTNERSHIP WITH NEW THREE-YEAR DEAL

The Women’s Rodeo World Championship (WRWC), The World’s Richest Women’s Rodeo, and Montana Silversmiths have announced a partnership that will span the next three years.

Montana Silversmiths will become the “Official Silversmiths” of WRWC and will manufacture all WRWC championship buckles for the $750,000 World Championship event May 13 – 18 in Texas. Montana Silversmiths sets the gold and silver standard of excellence in buckles and jewelry sold in more than 3,500 retail locations in North America. This milestone marks the first Official Buckle Partner of the WRWC.

“There is no better way to usher in the theme of 2024, the Year of the Cowgirl, than by partnering with the elite group of female rodeo athletes in the WRWC,” said Callie Adams, Montana Silversmiths’ Director of Events. “Montana Silversmiths recognizes and celebrates the contributions of women in America today, an icon of strength, resilience, and grace.  We’re proud to provide Championship buckles and awards to honor this beautiful relationship.”

During the 2024 event, Montana Silversmiths buckles will be given to each event winner, Women’s Rodeo World Champions, and round winners. Each custom buckle awarded in the arena is created by Montana Silversmiths, the Brand of Champions.

“In our sport, athletes who achieve great victory wear a belt buckle to symbolize their success and pride,” said Linsay Rosser-Sumpter, Commissioner of WRWC. “The female athletes in our sport work tirelessly to earn the coveted belt buckle at each event, and we take great pride in having Montana Silversmiths create each and every one of these buckles.”

The WRWC is the biggest annual purse for a women’s rodeo event. It is a joint effort between the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) and the WCRA (World Champions Rodeo Alliance). The event is set to crown World Champions in the Women’s Rodeo disciplines such as Team Roping, Breakaway Roping, and Barrel Racing, while also crowning an all-around world champion. The competition is set to pay out more than $750,000 in 2024.

“We congratulate WRWC for huge strides in historic proportions in the elevation of women’s rodeo athletes and competition through all of their efforts, in and out of the arena,” said, Judy Wagner, Montana Silversmiths Brand Advocate. WRWC is making history and making a difference. Nice job cowgirls.”

In 2024, after four days of competition inside Cowtown Coliseum from May 13-16, 2024, the Championship Round of the Women’s Rodeo World Championship will conclude inside the home of the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys alongside the 2024 PBR World Finals Championship on May 18, 2024, where each WRWC event champion will be crowned, earning the lion’s share of the massive $750,000 purse.

Since launching in May 2020, the WRWC has awarded more than $3 million in new money to women’s rodeo athletes. For more information about the WRWC visit wrwc.rodeo.
